2 Ways to go From Negative to Positive

Negative thought can truly limit you and your abilities. It can happen every once in a while or it can happen often. It has been found to start during childhood and form a pattern, although that is not always the case. You might find yourself in a negative state for quite some time and you were happy as a child. The thoughts that come into the mind dictate what actions we take and what we do with our time. If the thoughts are negative, then the actions will be based off of those thoughts. If you are currently suffering from back and neck pain it can put you in a negative state, so here are 2 good ways the positivity in your life.

1. Each time the negative thought comes in, say out loud "stop". This will interrupt the thoughts to action process. It will dead stop it. You will be able to stop it, call it out, and then change. After saying it, replace the thought with something good. For example, say you think about how bad the traffic is while sitting in the car. After the thought comes say "stop", and then say "I have a car, it is working, I have a radio, and everything is going to be alright". This will prevent you from honking the horn and getting all in a funk. Now you will be in a more thankful state and you are appreciative for what you do have.

2. When the negative thought happens, get up and start walking. Get out of your current environment and move on to another location. Don't let the environment that you are currently in get the best of you, change locations. You can't always do this, so make sure to apply this when you can. While you walk look at your surroundings and put your attention on what you are looking at. Focus on what is good on whatever you are looking at. An example would be if you got up an walked into a hallway and looked at a picture on the wall. Find the good in the picture, what you like about it and focus on it for a while. This will change the direction from negative to positive.
