1 Tip for Keeping a Chronic Back Pain Journal

Sometimes back pain just does not go away. It stays there and no matter how much you think about it going away, it won't. Going to the best back pain doctor in Los Angeles should be the first thing that you do, but let's face it, not everyone wants to go to the doctor. Most people want the pain to go away on it's own. When it doesn't, go see a spine specialist and get it figured out. On your own, even without the doctor you should keep a journal, especially if you have had it for a long time and it just stays with you day in and day out.

Keeping a journal can be a lot of work, but when dealing with something such as chronic back pain it is worth the work. It can really speed up the recover time if you think about it the right way. If you document what you go through each day it will be easier to diagnose and get the right treatment plan.

The first tip to help you be able to keep a journal is to forget about the old paper and pen and use your email account. Each day type an email about what your pain levels were, where it hurt the worst, document if the pain traveled down your arms or legs, and what you did to make it feel better and what you did that made it worse. In each email account there is a place where you can organize your emails. Make a category called "Adventures With My Back Pain". After typing each email send it to yourself and put it into that category. You can then have each day a story of what you went through, a complete history. Just about everyone has an email account and uses it on a daily basis. This will make it very convenient and easy. When you go to the Doctor go ahead and print out your entries and review them so that when they ask you about what it has been like, you will know and have an accurate story. This will make it much easier to get you the proper care so that you can get out of the miserable life of chronic back pain.
