Good Core Muscle Exercises for Back Pain

It only takes about fifteen minutes each day to get the back muscles exercised. It is not something very difficult and not something that you should really think to be a pain in the neck. It is fun if you just go ahead and get the right information and then do it. Getting the right information based off what your diagnosed condition is is important. A Doctor or Therapist is the most trained to diagnose you and give you the recommendations of what to do about your problem. Here are just a few basic exercises and depending on what you have you will either want to do these, or not do these at all. You can make the condition worse if you go and start doing things that you are not supposed to do and might even get advice from someone not qualified to give it to you.

A good basic exercise is the Bird Dog. This is where you are on all four, meaning on the hands and knees and you keep your head facing up. You back should be flat and parallel with the floor. What you want to do is raise the left arm up and the right knee up and straighten out the leg. You hold this for about five seconds and then take a break for five seconds and do this for ten times. Then switch to the other side. This is a very easy exercise but if you have a severe spinal condition then you will not want to do this because you can make it worse.

Another excellent basic exercise is the Hip Flexor Stretch. You first kneel down with one foot flat on the floor in front and the other knee behind. Lean forward and raise up your arm on the opposite side of the knee on the ground. Hold your hand up in the air for thirty seconds. Come back down and relax for thirty seconds and then do it again for four more times, then change sides.

Both of these exercises are quite safe on the lower back and should not flare the injured area up too much. If you start to get pain it is best to take it easy and not simply push through like a true champion. There are treatments available if it is a more serious condition than a simple back ache.
