The Brain, Pain, and Techniques

When you are someone who is suffering with neck or back pain you can sit there and wonder why in the world is this happening. This is a very rational thought and it is true as to that it should not be in your life. Today we will cover a way to think about pain and how this might help you find the correct treatment for relief.

This is a factual statement and should be remembered at all times, pain is nothing more than something you feel and is experienced by your brain. The low back does not feel any pain, it is your brain feeling the pain from there. This is how the pain relievers work so well, they can block the pain-gate pathway and disconnect it from being felt at all.

It would be nice if it were just as simple as what was mentioned above, but the truth is if you continue on pain medications for too long there could be negative outcomes. The brain is well built. It is built for us to survive and thrive in life. It experiences things to help benefit us so we can make the correct decisions. Once you start to get the pain you are officially being told to do something about it. If the problem can't be fixed, then the suffering will just keep being experienced.

At some point in time the direct source of the pain should be located, but this is not always the case for people. People with cases of fibromyalgia can have more negative symptoms than any one and not have a specific source of pain. When this is the case there are a few things you can do to help manage it.

Stress lowering techniques are a excellent with the treatment of this. Deep breathing, yoga, and meditation can work great to lower the stress and help with managing the pain and symptoms. A simple thirty minutes a day can help out a whole lot. Many have reported outstanding results with techniques to lower stress and anxiety.
